Panasonic LX100 Four Thirds Compact Camera Coming Soon

By on

Panasonic is rumored to announce a new compact camera with Four Thirds sensor in the near future. The name of the camera has been leaked on the web as Panasonic LX100.

Panasonic is planning to announce a fixed-lens camera with a Four Thirds image sensor. According to sources, the Panasonic LX100 Four Thirds camera will be able to record 4K videos.

The new LX100 with Four Thirds sensor and fixed zoom lens rumor, makes us to think about the LX7 replacement model. The Panasonic LX8 premium compact is already on the horizon and the latest rumors said that the LX8 camera delayed for an unknown reason.

The LX7 might be replaced by the LX1000, not the rumored LX8 model.

Latest updates for the LX8 compact camera also mentions that it will not use the 1-inch sensor found on the newly announced Panasonic FZ1000.

Panasonic might be thinking of adding 4K video recording and using Four Thirds sensor instead of 1-inch-type. When we combine the previous rumors, the LX100 and LX8 may be the same camera we are expecting.

Panasonic’s goal is to make a high quality premium compact camera to compete against the Sony RX100M3.
