As is known, Panasonic announced the development of the 10-25mm lens in the Photokina 2018 event. In cooperation with Leica, this will be the fastest zoom lens in the Panasonic lineup.
The Panasonic Leica 10-25mm f/1.7 will provide full frame equivalent of 20-50mm focal length with conastant bright f/1.7 aperture. Designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras, this lens should deliver superb image quality like the Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 or the 25mm f/1.4 MFT lens. According to Panasonic this fast zoom lens should replace the five fast prime lenses. That is how much they believe in the image quality of the lens.
Now according to Cinema5D interview with Panasonic, the new 10-25mm f/1.7 will not be released in early 2019. Instead we might see this amazing glass at Photokina 2019 which starts in May 8th. More details after the break!
