As previously mentioned, Olympus is rumored to announce a new high-end OM-D camera in January 2019. There is not much details about the specs sheet but first information about the new model is a game changing camera and a high price tag. Official announcement of the Olympus OM-D E-M1X is expected at the CES 2019 event in the beginning of January.
So we don’t have much details about the Olympus E-M1X features but we know that it has to offer speed, AF combination with exceptiınal IBIS performance. In order to achieve this Olympus will have to offer something extraordinary to compete against the latest Nikon Z7, Canon EOS-R and Fujifilm X-T3 mirrorless cameras.
Olympus E-M1X to Outperform the Fuji X-T3
So the latest rumors suggests, that the upcoming Olympus E-M1X will outperform the Fujifilm X-T3 camera in terms of both stills and video performance. Do you think a Micro 4/3rds camera can outperform the current one of the best APS-C camera in the market?
The X-T3 comes with a brand new sensor, improved autofocus and video performance that makes it competitive with Panasonic’s GH5. It is probably the best stills/video hybrids on the market. According to this here is our expectations for the upcoming Olympus E-M1X micro four thirds shooter.
- Super-sized multi-aspect sensor with IBIS and pixel-shift
- 4K 60P 10-bit 4:2:2 internal
- 4K 120P over HDMI
- Internal variable ND filter
- Dual UHS II slots
- Tilting screen
