Fujifilm announced new firmware updates for several of its current X-series cameras as X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T20 and X100F.
Free upgrades for the Fujifilm X-Pro2, X-T2, X100F and X-T20 cameras will soon be released in November and December 2017.
These updates will provide support for “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO”, improve studio flash controller usability compatibility, introduce a new AF tracking algorithm and include other functional and operational updates
The firmware updates are due as follows:
Firmware Version -due late November : X-T2, X-T20

Fujifilm X-Pro2: Firmware V.4.0 key features
- Addition of 4K video mode using Film Simulation modes.
- Adds support for tethered shooting via USB or Wi-Fi.
- Updated AF tracking algorithm with enhanced subject tracking.
- Support for FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO which enables users to convert RAW files with X Processor Pro.
- Improved radio flash controller usability, allowing users to shoot with compatible third party studio flash in high speed sync or TTL mode via their radio controllers.
- Adds support for backup and restore of camera settings from one camera to another via FUJIFILM X Acquire.
Fujifilm X-T2: Firmware V.3.0 key features
- Updated AF tracking algorithm with enhanced subject tracking.

This is good stuff. When will Fuji introduce the feature whereby plugging the camera to a computer will automatically synchronize camera date/time to the computer’s setting?
