Canon Large Sensor Powershot Camera To Be Announced at CES 2015

Canon’s previously leaked premium PowerShot compact camera with large image sensor now rumored to be announced at CES 2015 event, which will happen in the first week of January in Las Vages.

Several weeks ago Canon Netherlands confirmed that a large-sensor superzoom compact camera is on the way by posting a teaser video. The video presents the Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II and the new PowerShot G7 X, and a “big zoom” (groete zoom) camera presented as “later model” (i.e. to be announced soon). See below image!

Now according to sources at CanonRumors, the upcoming PowerShot camera with large image sensor will be announced on CES 2015 in January 6-9, 2015.

The new Powershot compact will feature a high-magnification optical zoom lens and compact body in response to the demands from users looking for high quality high zoom performance.

Canon’s large sensor high zoom PowerShot camera will complete a trio that consists of the PowerShot G1 X Mark II and PowerShot G7 X. There are no specs and price info yet.
