Sony Japan confirms officially that the new Zeiss 24-70mm f/4 FE ZA OSS lens will be shipping from January 24, 2014. The Sony SEL2470Z lens announced with several new lenses to match the Sony A7 and A7r full frame mirrorless cameras.
The Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS (SEL2470Z) lens is a wide-angle to portrait-length zoom lens that features a constant f/4 maximum aperture. The first ever full-frame E-mount Carl Zeiss zoom lens is ideal for portraits, landscapes and everyday shooting.
Sony Japan also includes the new SEL2870: Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens that will also be start shipping from January 7, 2014.
