It is now confirmed via Nokishita that the next RF Lenses from Canon will be the RF 16mm f/2.8 USM Lens and RF 100-400mm f/5.6-7.1 IS USM Lens.Designed for Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless system, both lenses are expected to be announced soon.
The Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 lens is also a non-L prime lens which has not appeared on the roadmap until now. This lens is probably for a full-frame sensor, but it may also be a very useful wide-angle lens for APS-C cameras. The RF 16mm f/2.8 could also be a pancake lens.
Reminder: The highly anticipated Canon EOS R3 mirrorless camera is rumored to be officially announced on September 14, 2021.
The next RF lenses that Canon will announce will be 16mm F2.8 and 100-400mm.
