Pentax K-3 II Successor Camera to be Announced on September 2020

According to latest reports the next Pentax APS-C flagship camera is rumored in the autumn of 2020. So expect a Pentax K-3 II successor camera announcement in September 2020.

A recent tweet from Kimio Tanaka (a Japanese photographer who has Ricoh/Pentax insider information and has a good record of reporting relevant information) indicated that the progress was made on the successor of the Pentax K-3 II camera.  It looks like Pentax K-3II successor finally completed the Beta Testing Phase and we may have it in the next 3 to 4 months.

Generally Ricoh unveils the K-3 series in a two years gap. The second verison Pentax K-3 Mark II is already discontinued and latest rumors shows that the company will unveil thePentax K-3 III DSLR camera in 2020. However recent reports indicates that the company might use a new name and start a new series with the Pentax K-3 II successor.

Probably we will see some major improvements in the core specification of the upcoming Pentax camera in 2020. On the other hand expect from Pentax to introduce 4K video recording  to their APS-C DSLR line-up in 2020.
