Tokina will soon announce a new atx-m 85mm f/1.8 FE Lens for Sony E-mount full frame mirrorless cameras. This will be the first atx-m series lens from Tokina designed for full frame mirrorless systems.
The lens will be priced at JPY 54,600 in Japan which makes it €549 in EU and around $500 in the US. The official announcement will be in February, 2020. We’ll see how it will compete against Sony’s already budget-friendly and affordable product, FE 85mm f/1.8 currently sells for $599.
