Tamron Updates its 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD DSLR lens

Tamron updates its 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD DSLR lens model, which is considered the world’s lightest and smallest 15x zoom lens. The price of the new all-in-one lens is cheaper at $349 (the previous model is $449). The lens is available for both Nikon and Canon mounts. Shipping is expected to start on May 30th.

The Canon and Nikon mount versions of the lens feature built-in optical image stabilization via Tamron’s ‘Vibration Control’ system, which promises sharper hand held images at slow shutter speeds.

This lens offers a Piezo Drive (PZD) internal ultrasonic autofocus motor for smooth, fast focusing, as well as Vibration Compensation to minimize the effects of camera shake.
