Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM Lens to be Announced at Photokina 2018

Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM lens is rumored to be announced at Photokina 2018 event. This lens will be designed for the EOS M mirrorless cameras.

This prime optic was rumored before for the NAB 2018 show in April. According to recent report, the Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM lens will not be announced alongside the EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II USM lens in April.

Canon mirrorless users will have to wait a couple of months more to get this lens. Because it is still scheduled to be announced in late August / early September for Photokina 2018.

So we will probably meet the Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM lens at Photokina 2018 in September. What we nee to know about this moderate prime optic? This new lens will not have IS but for movie-makers, the built-in stepping motor affords smooth and quiet continuous autofocus.

The Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM will feature smooth and continuous AF with a built-in stepping motor. The lens will be lightweight and small enough to carry around with you everywhere. The focal length is excellent for street photography and the bright aperture will provide exceptional low-light performance.
