Ricoh is rumored to announce a new Pentax K-3 III DSLR camera soon and it is expected to be announced in September 2018 prior to Photokina.
The Pentax K–3 II is a high-end APS-C 24-megapixel DSLR, the last stop before you end up in full-frame sensor territory. The camera announced by Ricoh on April 22, 2015. It is differentiated from its predecessor by improbing a few important areas including optical image stabiliation (OIS) and tracking AF.
Generally Ricoh unveils the K-3 series in a two years gap. So if we don’t see an announcement in the first half of 2018, then Photokina in September, 2018 could be the ideal time for Pentax K-3 III announcement.
Pentax K-3 III coming for Photokina 2018 event?
According to recent reports, Pentax K-3 III announcement is scheduled for next year at Photokina 2018 event in September.
For now, there are no details leaked yet. So we can only guess about Pentax K-3 III specifications. The sure thing is that the flagship APS-c sensor camera has to improve upon the K-3II, K-70, and KP. So a big question would be if Ricoh will put 4K to this camera or not?
Pentax K-3 II can record full HD 1080p videos at 30fps. When we consider in todays world almost all cameras come with 4K then why would Pentax K-3 III not. The company might use the same sensor but we think the AF algorithm will be improved.
It is hard to say if the upcoming Pentax K-3 III will be a D500 killer. On the other hand we expect a brand new AF module and CPU for this shooter. Take it with a grain of salt and stay tuned with us for more information.

Improved autofocus tracking speed and bigger tracking area, and this camera will be unbeatable in all aspects
Everybody could ask such question and make such supposition….:)
