Panasonic GH5s Rumored to be Announced Soon

Panasonic might update its flagship video-centric MFT camera in the beginning of 2018, called the Panasonic GH5s.

The Panasonic GH5s is rumored to be an “ultra” video oriented low-light version of the GH5. This means the new sensor will provide better low-light shooting capabilities with improved ISO sensitivity.

Sources are claiming that the main improvement would be the state of the art video functions, improved low light performance and a higher launch price compared to the GH5. Now let’s talk about more what to expect from Panasonic GH5s camera.

Panasonic Gh5s Coming Soon in early 2018

Panasonic is rumored to announce a new Micro Four Thirds camera in the name of Panasonic GH5s. The Panasonic GH5 was among the new generation of cameras exhibited at CES 2017. The LUMIX GH5 4K Mirrorless ILC Camera comes with 20.3 Megapixels, 4K 60p & 4:2:2 10-bit Internal, Dual Image Stabilization 2, & WiFi + Bluetooth.

In 2017, Panasonic managed to improve 20.3 MFT sensor and unveiled the Lumix G9 for stills with 6.5 stops IS, 20 fps burst, 60fps with single AF and UHD 4K videos @ 60 fps. The Panasonic G9 will start shipping from January 2018 at a recommended selling price of $1,699 for body-only.

Panasonic GH5s might arrive at CES or CP+ 2018 events

Consumer Electronics show opens its doors to visitors in Las Vegas on January 6, therefore the official product launch event will most likely take place on January 5. The second event for Photography world is the CP+ 2018 and it is scheduled for February.

In short, a full year after the announcement of GH5, the world of Micro Four Thirds will meet the GH5s with a new sensor and improved low light performance. The video-centric product is currently selling for $1,997.99. Expect the upcoming Panasonic GH5s to have a higher price tag.
