Olympus 12-40mm & 14-42mm Lens Firmware Updates Released

Olympus released new firmware update for 12-40mm F2.8 PRO and 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 lenses.

Both the firmware update version 1.2 for 12-40mm and version 1.2 for 14-42mm improves stability to these lenses when shooting videos.

Olympus also enhanced stability of sequential shooting of 12-40mm F2.8 PRO model when using the E-M1 Mark II. See firmware details and download links below.

Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Lens V1.3 improvements:

  • Stability of lens aperture when shooting videos has been improved.
  • Enhanced stability of sequential shooting when using the E-M1 Mark II.

Olympus 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Zuiko ED Lens V1.2 improvements:

  • Stability of lens aperture when shooting videos has been improved.
  • MF shooting operations have been improved.

That’s the wrong 14-42mm lens pictured. It’s the legacy Four Thirds mount lens, not the Micro Four Thirds lens (M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ ) that actually got a firmware update today. Smack my damn head…
