Sony A6100 Camera Rumored To Feature 24.3MP with 1080p XAVCS Codec

More information has been leaked online for the upcoming Sony A6100 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera.

According to latest Sony rumors, the A6000 successor model which will probably be named as the Sony A6100 will feature a 24.3-megapixel APS-c image sensor with 1080p XAVCS Codec.

This means the A6000 replacement camera will not be capable of 4K video recording. More details after the break.

Sony A6000 is rumored to be replaced by the A6100 mirrorless model.

Sony A6000 successor camera previously mentioned several times as the A7000 E-mount shooter. But  the popular APS-c mirrorless camera might have the A6100 name and follow the A5000 series path. So it looks like no A7000 in near future according to the rumor mill.

  • 24.3-megapixel APS-c image sensor
  • 1080p XAVCS codec
  • No 4K video recording
  • Announcement in late Spring or early Summer

As posted in our previous post, the Sony documents leaked by Wikileaks include new cameras in the A7r, A6000, and RX lines.

Along with the Sony A6100 mirrorless camera, it is expected that the company might announce the Sony A7RII which will feature on-sensor 5-axis image stabilization system and silent shutter mode.

I just want it to have in camera image stabilization like the A7 II.
