More details are coming for the upcoming Zeiss Otus 1.4/85 lens. The Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 APO Planar T* lens to be announced tomorrow on September 8 and the price will be $4,490.
The Zeiss Otus 1.4/85 lens will be the second lens in the Otus line and the lens will have an 85mm focal length with a maximum aperture of f/1.4 You can see the first image and the design of the new Zeiss.
According to sources, the new Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 lens will be $500 more than the 55mm version. It is said to have a price tag for $4,490 for US. The price is expected to be more expensive for the 85mm version, as the new Otus lens construction is “much better” than the current 55mm one.

The Zeiss Otus 1.4/85 lens will be available for Canon and Nikon mounts and it will be on-display at Photoina 2014 event which will start on September 16 in Cologne, Germany.
