Sony RX2 camera rumors surfaced again and the RX2 high-end compact camera to feature the same A7r 36MP sensor and have a 35-70mm f/2.8 compact zoom lens.
As previously mentioned here, Sony RX1R replacement is rumored to be the RX2 and the new camera rumored to feature a curved full frame image sensor patented before.
Later on the rumor mill corrected as the new RX camera with curved sensor and 35mm f/1.8 Zeiss lens will be named as Sony RX1s.
Sony RX2 Specs List To Feature 36MP A7r Sensor
If rumors are RX2 may become Sony’s first RX-series full frame camera with a zoom lens. Sony RX1R will be replaced by the RX2 with a 36.4-megapixel sensor and 35-70mm f/2.8 lens.
When we combine the rumors Sony may introduce two new RX-series cameras with full frame image sensors. One of them featuring a curved sensor named as Sony Rx1s and the other one is the Sony Rx2 camera with a zoom lens and “classic” non curved sensor.
