Sony A77 Successor Camera To Be Announced in Spring 2014

The Sony A77 successor camera is rumored to be announced in Spring 2014. According to trusted sources the new Sony APS-C A-mount camera (name is not clear if it will be A79) will be in stock and available in stores by June, 2014. The new APS-C A-mount camera will be the official replacement for the A77.

As we posted earlier two new Sony SLT A-mount cameras are rumored to be announced in 2014.  These cameras were told to be the replacement for the Sony A77 and A99.

Sony A99 and A77 successor cameras to come with increased megapixel numbers while the first specs for the A77 replacement camera shows that the APS-C image sensor will come packed with Phase Detection AF technology. Sony A77 successor will feature built-in Phase Detection AF technology, which means the camera could be mirrorless

We also mention for the NEX-7 replacement before. The announcement of the Sony NEX-7 successor expected around the Camera and Photo Imaging Show called CP+ 2014 which is going to happen in the middle of  February. The new NEX expected to be announced in 2 or 3 weeks period. The Sony NEX-7 mirrorless camera is currently priced for $1,098 at Amazon.

The rumor mill also says that there will be no Sony A65 successor coming.
