More reviews and sample images are available for the competitively priced Sony A3000 digital camera. DxOMark has posted a review for the Sony A3000 and tested the sensor performance of the camera. Imaging Resource also posted a sample image gallery for the A3000 with full exif display.
The A3000 may have a slightly smaller sensor than other APS-C cameras but it achieves high performance and gains a DxOMark score of 78 points. The budget-friendly camera is 46th place overall in DxOMark database.
The A3000 offers a 20.1 megapixel APS-C sized Exmor CMOS sensor, a built-in 201,600-dot electronic viewfinder, ergonomic hand-grip and weighs in at 411 grams including a battery.

With the SLR-like handgrip, viewfinder hump and controls, Sony is quite clearly challenging rival mirrorless models from Panasonic and Samsung. In terms of the sensor and IQ the A3000 performs very well indeed. As for the rest of specification and handling that’s another matter altogether, but there’s plenty to like and the price isn’t exorbitant.
