Canon EOS M Firmware Update 2.0.2 AF Speed Test Video

The firmware update version 2.0.2 for the Canon EOS M is officially announced and will be free to download from the Canon website from the end of June 2013.

Before the release of new firmware update for the Canon EOS M compact system mirrorless camera below are the videos, show the AF speed difference with the current and new firmware. The lens used for the test were the EF 18-55mm and EF 22mm.

The AF is tested both in the FlexiZone Multi and FlexiZone Single settings. Auto-Focus is much faster with the new firmware. Flexizone-Multi AF was used for the tests. AF using firmware 2.0.2 is a bit faster in the 18-55mm one.

Firmware Version 2.0.2 promises to boost the AF speed, making One Shot AF up to 2.3x faster when using FlexiZone Multi AF and the EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens.
