Samsung released the source code for the NX2000 and NX300 mirrorless cameras. The open source based on the Cortex A9 quad core CPU and Neon coprocessor.
The code released by Samsung means that everyone can download it and make their own modifications. It can be bug fixes, adding new features. Samsung uses open source system for their smartphones and cameras.
They are also the first major camera manufacturer to release their source code to the public. This also means we can see custom rom smart cameras in near future with modifications available to the code.
