New Fujifilm X Summit 2024 on October 14th

Fujifilm has announced that it will host another X Summit on October 14th at 9:00 AM ET (6:00 AM PT) at the CLAY Studio in Tokyo.

The event will focus on product and production engineering design, with the company promising to deliver new information from a “design perspective.” Fujifilm’s X Summit events are known for major product announcements, and this year has already seen the unveiling of the X100 VIX-T50, and GFX 100S II. Fans can expect more exciting updates at the upcoming event, with videos typically posted afterward on Fujifilm’s YouTube channel.

The company is already teasing the upcoming X-M5 camera that will be officially announced at the next X Summit. See rumored specifications below.

Rumored Fujifilm X-M5 Camera Specs

  • 26.1-megapixel APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 sensor
  • Equipped with an X-Processor 5 image processor
  • Supports DCI/UHD 60fps 4K [120fps 4k with cropping] video shooting
  • Dedicated Vlog mode for content creators
  • 425-point hybrid AF system
  • 7-speed in-body image stabilization
  • Frame.io camera cloud integration
  • 20 film simulation modes
  • 3.0-inch 1.62 million-dot variable-angle touchscreen
  • Built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity

Although recent rumors claim it’s a Fujifilm X-M5, there are also those who say it looks more like a pocket camera like the Fujifilm X70. Maybe it’s called an X80, or maybe it’s just a stock video showing off the idea of mobility.
