Canon Teases Canon EOS R8 and EOS R50 announcement

Canon China has released a teaser for a major product announcement. In North America, the announcements will happen at 10AM EST on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

The Canon EOS R8 seems to be a lower model that uses the same sensor and image processing engine as the current Canon EOS R6 Mark II while the EOS R50 will be APS-C model likely be the evolution of the EOS M system to the RF mount. There is also another STM lens coming with these cameras, the Canon RF-S 55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM and the previously rumored new entry-level Canon RF 24-50mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens.
