Rumors : Pentax D FA 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 & DA 50-135mm f/2.8 Lenses Coming

Ricoh may announce two new Pentax lenses soon. According to rumors, these lenses will be HD PENTAX-D FA 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 ED PLM WR SR and HD PENTAX-DA 50-135mm f/2.8 ED PLM AW.

When we look at Pentax’s lens roadmap, we can see only one telephoto zoom model. However, it seems possible that two have been developed. The 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 uses SR (in-lens image stabilization), which is the first PENTAX to achieve coordinated correction with the body, so it’s noteworthy.

The DA 50-135mm f/2.8 ED PLM AW is a lens that is not listed on the roadmap, but the current 50-135mm F2.8 is quite old, so it’s no wonder that it’s always remodeled.

Ricoh is rumored to be working on two new Pentax lenses:

  • HD Pentax-D FA 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 ED PLM WR SR
  • HD Pentax-DA★ 50-135mm f/2.8 ED PLM AW
