Canon USA has increased pricing on many popular RF and EF lenses due to the ongoing pandemic and manufacturing challenges.
Currently we can see the increased prices on B&H Photo Video and Adorama. However Amazon still shows the old prices,so it is time to order these lenses at Amazon if you are interested.
At the heart of Canon’s EOS R full frame mirrorless system is the RF lens mount. RF lenses use the same optimised 54mm inner diameter as Canon’s EF lens range but the flange distance (the distance between the lens mount and the camera sensor) has been reduced by more than half to just 20mm.
