New Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM Lens Delayed Because of High Demand

About a month ago, Sony introduced their 60th lens for the E-mount system; FE 50mm f/1.2 G Master. The Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 G Master lens was originally scheduled for shipping in May. On B&H, 13 May is still listed as the shipping date for this lens.

However, Sony has revealed that orders have greatly exceeded its projections, and it is unable to keep up with demand. As a result the lens gets delayed because of high demand. The Sony FE 50mm f1.2 G Master is a standard prime lens with a very fast aperture for full-frame e-mount mirrorless cameras. The US price is $1,998, and it is now available for pre-order at B&HPhoto. Adorama and Amazon.

There’s currently no information on how much the shipping will be delayed, but we will update you with fresh news.
