Nikon Released Firmware Update 1.10 for Nikon Z6 II/Z7 II

By on

Nikon officially released the firmware update version 1.10 for the Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II mirrorless cameras. This Firmware Update 1.10 improves the performance of Eye-Detection AF on the Z7 II & Z6 II, and enables additional recording formats and video workflows when shooting with the Z6 II.

The Z6 II and Z7 II cameras now detect the eyes of human subjects even when the subject’s face size within the frame is small. Improvements will be seen when shooting in auto-area AF (people) and wide-area AF (L-people). The firmware update also adds support for 4K UHD/60p to the Z6 II video recording options, and enable RAW video output to Blackmagic Design external recorders for both the Z 7II and Z 6II.

Nikon also announced the new Nikon Z6 II Essential Movie Kit which includes the Atomos Ninja V external video recorder allowing ProRes RAW recording.
