By on

The upcoming Nikon cameras for 2020 are starting to take shape day by day. Among the cameras Nikon plans to announce soon are the Nikon Z30 and Z5 mirrorless models. The first one Nikon Z30 will be a basic APS-C mirrorless camera with no EVF. On the other hand Nikon Z5 will be an entry-level full frame and position under the Nikon Z6. This camera is the one that will compete against the Canon EOS RP.

In the first half of 2020, Nikon announced two new DSLR cameras: Nikon D6 and Nikon D780. Now the company is on the verge to unveil two new Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras soon. Currently, Nikon has a total of 8 unannounced camera code. New models are usually introduced 30-90 days after the registration with the different government agencies. According to latest rumors, Nikon will soon announce two new Z-mount mirrorless cameras in next few weeks. See latest Nikon discounts.

Nikon may also announce the high-end Z8 full frame mirrorless camera in later this year, to compete with Canon EOS R5. Nikon Z8 and Nikon D880 (expected product name for D850 replacement). While both the Nikon D850 and Nikon Z7 sit nicely with the 45.7MP sensor, this will be a major upgrade to both camera systems and will probably please photographers who are always looking for more megapixel power.

Apart from the Sony’s 60MP full frame sensor, Nikon Z8 will also have dual SD and CFexpress card slots just like the Canon’s EOS R5. The high-end mirrorless Z camera will be announced before the Nikon D850 replacement.
