Panasonic GH6 Rumor Updates

Here are the latest updates on the Panasonic GH6 rumors. According to latest reports the upcoming Panasonic GH6 camera may use the Sony 41MP Sensor [IMX594CQR].

Panasonic is rumored to announce the Lumix GH6 Micro Four Thirds camera in late 2020. Previously the video-centric mirrorless camera is expected to be on display at Photokina 2020 event but due to coronavirus pandemic the event has been postponed.

Now possible release date of the Lumix GH6 should be at CP+ 2021. The upcoming camera is also said to have improved battery life and the next generation of IBIS.

The rumor mill also claims that there will be three models GH6V, GH6 and GH6X. Here are the Panasonic GH6 specs that has been rumored so far.

  • Release date in early 2021

Panasonic wants to add 8K support, most probably at 24p only. 8K support can be interpolated (from around 6.5-7K), but can be true 8K, depends on sensor version Sony chooses and the Canon move for the EOS R5. Stay tuned.
