Here are the news and rumors about GoPro HERO8 ? According to latest reports, the GoPro HERO 8 action cameras are scheduled to be announced in September 2019. The release date will be in late September to early October.
We know that GoPro has registered two new camera codes “CNFSPJB1” and “CNFSPCC1” at FCC. GoPro HERO 8 action cameras will replace current GoPro HERO7 with a lot of great new features and improvements.

- Include at least three options: GoPro HERO 8 Black, HERO8 Silver, and HERO8 White
- New design with optional housing and new accessroeis (mic, LED light, screen, etc)
- GP2 chip
- 4K video at 120fps, full HD video at 480 fps
- Improved lens and image quality
- 12MP asaensor (not confirmed)
- To compete against the new DJI Osmo action camera
CEO Nick Woodman in the May 2019 conference call mentioned that GoPro would be refreshing their lineup. “I’m happy to share that we’re planning an exciting refreshed lineup at all price points in Q4, including our next-generation spherical camera and an innovative multi-year roadmap that we believe will result in continued momentum, growth, and profitability for GoPro in 2019 and beyond.”.
