Canon Patent for 16-60mm f/2-5 lens for APS-C Mirrorless

Canon is working on a 16-60mm f/2-5 lens for APS-C mirrorless system. The standart zoom lens will offer 3.75X optical zoom.

Even the given f-range is a bit weird and unusual for the industry we have to underline that this is a patent application. So when it comes to mass production it can even change to a ultra-bright F2 aperture at wide end.

Photokina 2018 opens its doors in September. There is a strong chance that Canon will announce or hint a development process for the long-rumored Canon full frame mirrorless camera. On the other hand the M5 Mark II is on its way for sure and 16-60mm f/2-5 lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras.
