Leica APO-Summicron-SL 50mm f/2 coming in 2018

Leica Camera is rumored to announce a new SL lens soon. The product in question is the Leica APO-Summicron-SL 50mm f/2.

This will be the fourth Summicron lens for the SL system. Those were the 35mm, 75mm and 90mm lenses with maximum f/2 aperture.

Actually 50mm was missing in the lineup and looks like the company will fill the gap in 2018 with a fresh announcement. You can find the upcoming SL lenses below.

  • Leica Summicron-SL 35mm f/2 ASPH
  • Leica APO-Summicron-SL 75mm f/2 ASPH
  • Leica APO-Summicron-SL 90mm f/2 ASPH
  • Leica Super-Vario-Elmar-SL 16-35mm f/3.5-4.5 ASPH
