Fujifilm is rumored to announce a new XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS pancake power zoom lens soon for its X-series mirrorless cameras.
This would be another lightweight and affordable standard zoom for the X-system just like the Fuji XC 16-50mm. When it becomes available in the market, the lens will offer an angle-of-view similar to that of a 22.5-67.5mm lens in a 35mm system.
The standard zoom range is complemented by optical image stabilization that works to reduce the appearance of camera shake to suit working in low-light conditions throughout the zoom range. More details of the upcoming XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS can be found below.
Fujifilm XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS Lens to be Announced Soon
Fujifilm will allegedly announce a XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS lens soon. The new optic is claimed to be a pancake zoom which would be compact and flexible for travel photography.
It will have the same aperture range and almost the same focal length of the XC16-50mmF3.5-5.6. Expect it to be a little smaller than the current model. We hope the upcoming Fujinon XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS would have a metal lens mount unlike the plastic ones on the 16-50mm.
