Full Panasonic GH5s specifications has been leaked on the web. The upcoming MFT camera will record C4K (60p, 150Mbps, 4:2:2 10 bit and slow motion at 240fps (FHD).
The Panasonic GH5s is rumored to be an “ultra” video oriented low-light version of the GH5. This means the new sensor will provide better low-light shooting capabilities with improved ISO sensitivity. If the specs list below is true than the GH5s will become the first Micro Four Thirds system camera that has ISO range up to 102,400.
Panasonic GH5s specifications include the 12-Megapixel image sensor just like the Sony’s low-light king Alpha A7S II camera. These are amazing features for a video-centric shooter. Official announcement of the Panasonic GH5s is expected prior to CES 2018 show which opens its doors in Las Vegas between January 9-12.

How can you even compare it to Sony A7SII?, it is still a micro 4/3 sensor and can’t be compared to the Sonys full frame sensor in any way. It goes to ISO 102.400, but that will be completely useless due to the high noise levels on the small sensor which is 17.30 x 13 mm versus the much bigger sensor in the Sony that is 36 x 24 mm.
There is a lot more to a camera than just that one spec.
It was mostly this sentence that made me question the article:
“Panasonic GH5s specifications include the 12-Megapixel image sensor just like the Sony’s low-light king Alpha A7S II camera”.
“…just like the..”??? – I’m perplexed – the two sensors has nothing do with each other and
the Sony will no doubt have at least 2 stops better high ISO performance, better dynamic range and color depth.
Also it is the Sony A7S that is the low light king, not the A7SII.
Yeah, Sony has a bigger dick!
