Sony Updates A6000, A7, A7R, A7S, A7II and A7RII Firmware to V3.10

Sony has released a new firmware update for its A7-series full-frame mirrorless cameras; the A7, A7R, A7S, A7RII, A7II and the APS-c sensored E-mount A6000 mirrorless model.

The firmware update version 3.10 for Sony a6000, A7, A7R, A7S, A7RII and A7II adds support for the new Sony GM lenses and phase detect AF. Now the AF can be used in movie recording mode with the SEL85F14GM.

Improvements over version 2.00 for Sony A6000 and A7 cameras:

  • New lenses are supported.
  • Phase-detection AF is supported
  • The lens name will be correctly recorded in the EXIF
  • The AF can be used in movie recording mode with the SEL85F14GM
