Sony A6300 Camera and G Master Lenses Now Available for Pre-Order

Sony A6300 mirrorless camera and the company’s first three GM lenses, the FE 24-70mm F2.8, FE 85mm F1.4 and FE 70-200mm F2.8 OSS now available for pre-order in several camera stores in US.

Sony A6300 features a 24MP CMOS APS-C sensor with copper wiring, 425-point on-sensor phase-detection AF system, 11fps continuous shooting (8fps continuous live view), Silent shooting, Max ISO of 51200 and 4K video capture up to 100 Mbps.

The mirrorless camera has a price for $1,000 at Amazon | B&H | Adorama stores. Shipping will start from March 10th.

Sony’s new brand includes three new E-mount full frame lenses. They are 24-70mm constant F2.8 standard zoom, 85mm F1.4 prime and a 70-200mm constant F2.8 telephoto zoom. The new optics feature Sony’s innovative optical element technology, design and calibration.

The FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM features special elements for reducing aberrations and increasing resolution. It has a 9-bladed aperture, special coatings for reduced reflections. It comes with a direct drive SSM (Super Sonic Wave Motor) for fast and quiet focusing, dust and moisture resistance, and a compact design.

The FE 85mm f/1.4 GM lens has an 11 blade circular aperture for smooth bokeh, Nano AR coating for reducing flare and ghosting, a ring drive SSM motor. It comes with dust and moisture resistance, and an aperture ring with on/off switchable click stops.

The FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM features special coatings (Nano AR and fluorine), a floating focusing system for improved AF performance. It has a minimum focusing distance of just 0.96m (~3.15ft), a SSM and dual linear motors, Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, dust and moisture resistance, a focus hold button, and a focal range limiter.

The new Sony high-end lenses for full-frame mirrorless cameras known as G Master (GM). They sit above the current ‘G-series‘ lenses.
