New Canon 85mm L-Series Lens Rumored for Photokina 2016

Canon is rumored to be working on a new 85 L-series lens which could possibly be announced for Photokina 2016 next year.

According to latest Canon rumors, the new version of the Canon 85mm L lens will have image stabilization (IS) feature and incorporate the blue spectrum refractive element of the recently announced EF 35mm f/1.4L II prime lens.

There were several patent files for 85mm lenses by Canon. See here and here. The aperture of the new 85mm L lens is unknown at the moment but it could be between f/1.2 and f/1.4.
