Olympus Large Sensor Compact Camera is in the Works

Olympus is rumored to announce a new large sensor compact camera instead of launching another XZ camera in the lineup.

According to sources, Olympus has no plan to launch another XZ compact camera and will discontinue the lineup.  The company is said to focus on the development of a large sensor compact camera.

The rumored Olympus large sensor fixed-lens compact shooter will be similar to the newly announced Panasonic LX100 model and expected to feature Micro Four Thirds image sensor.
