Olympus E-M6 Coming Soon

Olympus OM-D E-M5 is a highly popular Micro Four Thirds shooter has been discontinued. This is also the first signs of the upcoming Olympus E-M6 mirrorless camera.

According to sources, Olympus E-M5 successor camera is rumored to be announced in the first week of February 2015. The name of the camera is not clear yet but we say goodbye to the good-old E-M5 and probably wait for the new Olympus E-M6.

The new E-M6 will be announced in February. It will be the first Olympus camera recording 4K video. The OM-D E-M5 replacement will be weathersealed and shoot movies at Ultra HD resolution. The Olympus 4K mirrorless camera will come with multiple frame rate options, including 24fps, 25fps, and 30fps.

The rumored Olympus OM-D camera has been confirmed as the E-M5 successor and the it is said to be very different and not just an evolution of the standard OM-D line.

The Olympus E-M5 production has been ended officially and today Olympus US dropped the price of the E-M5 down to $559. The big discount on the E-M5 silver body for $599 and with 12-42mm lens for $699.

The OM-D E-M5 is a Micro Four Thirds camera announced back in February 2012. The mft camera features a 16 megapixel sensor, ISO up to 25,600, high resolution 1.4million dot EVF, built-in image stabilization and tiling touch screen.
