Apple Digital Camera RAW 6.01 with 7D Mark II Compatibility

Apple has released a new Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update to Mac OS X. Version 6.01 adds support for several new cameras.

Apple Digital Camera Raw now supports the cameras as detailed below. Also note that OS X 10.10 Yosemite with Aperture version 3.5 or later, or iPhoto version 9.4.3 or later, is required to install this update.

Apple Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 6.01 provides system-level support for Raw files from the likes of the Canon 7D Mark II, Fujifilm X30, Nikon D750 and Panasonic LX100.

Digital camera RAW formats retain more image information than JPEGs and can produce better results when used with imaging applications such as Aperture and iPhoto.

OS X Yosemite provides system-level support for digital camera RAW formats from the following cameras.

  • Canon EOS 7D Mark II
  • Fujifilm X30
  • Nikon D750
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX100
