Sony is rumored to put the same electronic viewfinder found in the NEX-6 and NEX-7 into the upcoming A7000. The A7000 will also feature a new focus system that consists of 246 Phase Detection points as well as 125 Contrast Detection points.

As previously mentoned the mirrorless camera specs will include  feature 4K video recording, weather sealing, and 1/8000 shutter speed. See the new Sony A7000 specs below.

  • 256 phase detect and 125 contrast detect points
  • Nex 6 viewfinder
  • Tri Nav
  • Sensor will be engineered for high sensitivity
  • Touch screen

The Sony A7000 price is also leaked from the same source. It appears that the Sony A7000 camera body price will be $699 USD and with the  Zeiss 16-70mm f/4 kit lens it will be available for $1,199 USD. This will be sure a low price of the A7000. If the price information is true than the camera would certainly sell very well with that price.

The rumor mill now turned its way as one or two new Sony camcorder models are going to be announced at CES in Las Vegas while new cameras and lenses will be announced at CP+ 2015 show in Yokohama.

So the Sony A7000 announcement date now scheduled for CP+ 2015 in mid-February along with the possible Sony A9 high-end full frame E-mount camera.

Better ISO and Back Button Focus support when shooting in Manual Mode (NEX7 does not support BBF when in manual mode). That’s all i want in the A7000.
