Zeiss has announced the Otus 85mm f/1.4 lens for full-frame DSLRs which will be displayed at Photoina 2014. Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 sample images are now official on Zeiss Flickr Album.
Zeiss has posted 23 high-resolution sample images on their Flickr album taken with the manual focus Otus 85mm f/1.4 lens.
The lens features 11 elements in nine groups and includes an aspherical element with six special glass elements. The minimum focusing distance stands at 80 centimeters / 31.5-inch and the Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 APO Planar T* comes with a 86mm filter thread.

The new Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 lens has been designed for Canon and Nikon full frame cameras. The Otus 1.4/85 will be available worldwide with the F-mount (ZF.2) or EF-mount (ZE) from mid-September. The expected recommended retail price is US$ 4,490.
