Panasonic Patent for 100mm f/2, 35mm f/1.8 and More Prime Lenses

New Panasonic Micro Four Thirds lens patents spotted online at United States Patent 8693110. The new Panasonic patent describes several prime lenses for Micro Four Thirds system cameras.

This doesn’t mean all these lenses as described in the patent list will become available and get into production. Several Panasonic Micro Four Thirds prime lens patents starts from a 25mm f1.4 to a 98mm f2.0.

Panasonic 35mm f1.8 mft lens could be the most important addition to the Panasonic’s mirrorless lens family. As the company only has this focal length in their zoom lenses like 12-35mm f2.8 and 35-100mm f2.8. If stated below than Panasonic may add a 65mm f1.8 and 100mm f2.0 lenses.

I’ve read a comment elsewhere that the Panasonic 35mm f/1.8 could be a macro lens. Is there anything in the patent that supports this claim?
