Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens Price Will Be $790?

Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens price rumors surfaced ahead of the official announcement and the lens said to have a price tag of $790. According to Sigma official dealer Sigma Belarus, the price of the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens will be $790. If this is true it would be a really good price for this kind of lens.

As we mentioned before Sigma shows this lens similar to Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4 which is priced for $3,990. The new Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art lens price previously rumored around $1,300.

The Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lens to be released in two months period. The Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG “Art” lens is expected to ship in May 2014.

Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lens is a fast normal prime for full frame DSLRs and it also works on APS-C / DX format cameras with a 75mm equivalent short telephoto effect. The lens employs an ultrasonic-type focusing motor, and according to Sigma uses improved autofocus algorithms.
