Olympus Rumored To Be Working on a New 9mm f/2.8 “PRO” Lens

Olympus is rumored to be working on a new 9mm f/2.8 “PRO” lens. The current PRO lens roadmap doesn’t contain any prime lens and Olympus 9mm f/2.8 lens could join the PRO series for Micro Four Thirds cameras.

According to recent rumors several Olympus 9mm f/2.8 lens prototypes are in development. They all feature an aperture ring and metal construction. This could also makes it a weathersealed lens, we’ll see!

Currently Olympus has announced a 9mm f/8 fisheye lens which acts as a body-cap. Olympus PRO lenses are high-quality lenses and sure higher price tags.

If rumors are true new Olympus 9mm f/2.8 PRO wide angle lens could be very expensive, just like all PRO series lenses.
