Tamron is rumored to announce a development of a new telephoto lens on November 7. New Tamron telephoto lens will be the replacement for the current Tamron 200-500mm f/5-6.3 lens which is currently priced for $949 at Amazon.
The official release date and the pricing of the Tamron 200-500mm f/5-6.3 lens replacement will be in 2014, probably in 4th quarter. The new Tamron lens will have an increased zoom range lke 150-500mm. Current Tamron 200-500mm f/5-6.3 lens doesn’t have VC and the newer one will feature Vibration Compensation (VC) technology.
