Canon is rumored to announce a new EOS-1 body which is expected to feature a large megapixel sensor. According to recent rumors new Canon EOS-1 DSLR camera to be announced in 2014 around the same time as the rumored Nikon D4x camera.
The new EOS-1 DSLR camera previously rumored to be coming in Q2 2014 and also be in testing at the World Cup in Brazil 2014. Now the high-end camera with big megapixel sensor appears to be tested at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. Name is not clear yet but it is also expected to be called Canon EOS-1D Xs.
New Canon EOS-1 DSLR To Be Announced with Nikon D4x
Canon will not repeat the mistake made when they announced the EOS-1D X. The camera was announced before the Nikon D4 but shipped much later. There will also be new lenses announced with the new EOS-1 body. Before the new EOS-1 announcement in 2014, the Canon EOS-1D X will recieve a price drop and give us some signals of the upcoming EOS-1 camera.
