The lens is specially designed for high resolution, full frame DSLR cameras and will be available for Canon and Nikon mounts. The price for the Zeiss Otus 1.4/55 lens is apparently $4,000. Zeiss Apo Distagon Otus 1.4/55 is one of the best 50mm prime lens and will be in stock on November 11, 2013.
