Canon To Announce a New Macro Zoom Lens in 2014

Canon is rumored to announce a new macro zoom lens in 2014. The new Canon macro zoom lens will have an f/4 constant maximum aperture and built-in image stabilization technology.

There is no details about the focal length of the rumored macro zoom but Canon’s upcoming lens is a 1:1 macro zoom. The aperture stands at f/4 and the new Canon macro zoom lens will feature in-body IS.

According to CR, this may be a replacement for the EF 180mm f/3.5L macro USM lens, which is currently priced $1,579 at Amazon.
