Canon is testing a replacement of current EF 35mm f/1.4L USM lens. The new Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II lens rumored to be announced soon.
Canon is rumored to announce new wide angle lenses in 2013. Two new wide angle zoom lenses for full frame Canon cameras will be coming in the next 6-8 months. Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L lens will be replaced by the new EF 35mm f/1.4L II lens.
The Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II lens will work with both Canon EF and EF-S cameras. The new Canon lens expected to be available in early 2014.
Canon already filed a patent for this lens last year.
